How it works
Base64 represents bytes as ASCII so they can travel through systems that expect text. Paste text to encode it, or paste Base64 to decode it. Decoding uses UTF-8. A string that is not valid Base64, or that does not decode as UTF-8 text, shows an error instead of garbled output. This is not encryption.
